The McVac Crystal8 Sensor is a necessary and innovative Multi Crystal Sensor for all of your long coating processes requiring accurate and continuous Rate/Thickness Control. Designed around our already proven .550” diameter 6MHz crystal sensor style, technology, and proven quality, the Crystal8 utilizes all of the same McVac Sensor Components that the industry is already happily familiar with. Our Multi Sensor offers the ability of Continuous Coating Cycle Times without the inconvenience of breaking vacuum, resulting in Higher Production and Throughput.
The McVac Crystal8 can be used for extra long coating runs, Automatically Switching to the next unused crystal when the current crystal is coated to it’s maximum thickness, or can be Indexed for a Multitude of Coating Process Control Scenarios.
The Mcvac Crystal8 is controlled by a Precision Stepper Motor mounted on the atmospheric side of the Vacuum Feedthrough, and a state of the art Stepper Motor Controller designed specifically to run with any Crystal Monitor or Controller.
